About · 2026

The infrastructure is the project, and quietly the favourite part.

A long way of saying: most of the work happens one layer below the screen.

The honest version, fragments included.

Product Design Manager at CtrlChain, a logistics platform in Eindhoven. Leading the product design team across transport management, order management, mobile, and the integrations that hold the day-to-day together.

Most of the work isn’t visible in a Figma file. Most of the day goes to the things underneath: the design system the team builds on, the language and rituals they share, the internal tooling and Figma plugins that take friction out of the work, the small practices that make a small team feel like more. The screens are the output. The infrastructure is the project, and quietly the favourite part.

Designing since 2013, starting in graphic and web work before moving into UI, then UX, then product design and management. A CS degree before all of that, plus a short stint in cloud and database administration along the way. Design problems, as it turns out, are mostly systems problems wearing better typography. Being able to read both sides of the seam (comfortable in code, prototypes still built in static HTML and CSS) has turned out to be most of the work.

This year, started poking at what AI changes about all of it. Six months on, it changed the process: prototypes are the source of truth, the team shares a skills library, and every designer is in. Still skeptical of the generic hype. Still the most fun part of the year.

Thirteen years of getting closer to the seam.

The parts that don’t fit on a résumé.

Originally from Manila. Four years into Eindhoven now, and the Dutch is in progress. The guttural G is still winning. Ask again next year.

Off the clock: cats, tattoos, long walks through Eindhoven trying to make sense of Dutch street names. Drawn to small permanent things. Both the cats and the tattoos qualify.

Work is rarely one person’s. Where the copy on this site says ‘the team’, it means it. Where it says ‘I’, it’s usually because there was a single pen, not a single brain.
